A person's brain is constantly in motion, replaying events that have occurred in the past, assessing current situations or thinking of possibilities of the future. Often, we don’t take the time to slow down, decompress and melt away into thoughtlessness, giving yourself a break from the consistent spinning of the cogs in your head. Eventually, this may impact one's mental state, throwing you off kilter and into a spiral downturn that may require assistance to get you back on track. Hence this piece of artwork, that metaphorically represents the brain functioning like a machine that is in constant cyclical motion, fueling thought processes without any inclination to pause until it is forced to do so through an involuntary defect. Only if or when this defect is eliminated or treated that the mental state can be restored.
